Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin dominate civil rights. They own the Frontera Fund, a top cause for such rights. This organization has helped many locally and abroad, standing as a proven voice for the rights of many.

Why do human and civil rights matter, in the first place? That’s an excellent question and one that we must all ask ourselves from time to time as it may determine the very direction in which we’re headed. To fail to act in time, as well, will lead to failure.

To fail to stay informed on our rights and that of our country’s will also lead to disaster – whether immediate or gradual, it does not really matter, for disaster is disaster nonetheless. That is why we must engage: We must care for our rights and do everything we can to protect them before they’re gone as was the case with Venezuela, in which millions of people have already died.

Many in the country have died of starvation while many others have died of war and violence from within, especially at the hands of the country’s military, one led by no less than the cruel Nicolas Maduro, Venezuelan president who truly does not love Venezuela.

The Venezuelan people failed to engage their views and rights in the last 2013 election, and the result is Maduro in power. It is now a battle on the streets to get him out of office, and many citizens have already died in such a battle; many more continue to die of hunger, sickness, war, violence and sadness altogether. In fact, since there are no active hospitals or medical prescription drugs or medicine whatsoever, people on current medications have only declined in health; some have even died and gone insane because of the many chemical and psychosocial imbalances caused.

All the while, Maduro sits back happily in his presidential chair and scoffs, doing nothing to feed his people or help with with their many problems – all of which he has imposed since his time in office – but we can’t be so generous as to give him all the credit.

Hugo Chavez was the one who started it all; he had been the President for more than 11 years prior to Maduro’s entrance into power. Chavez was also an evil man altogether, stealing from the country and imposing nothing but tyranny all around.

People have wondered where the money from Venezuela had gone after all this time; it had been reported that billions of resources and currency have gone missing throughout this time and that it has all gone into Chavez’s and Maduro’s pockets.

Both men, along with the communist Castro brothers, have been known to own some of the richest collections of Mercedes Benz in the world, and we can no less guess where the money to fund such a massive lineup of personal cars may have come from. By the way, any time that we do not act, this is what happens. Engage all injustice.
